SHREK THE MERINO SHEEP WHO ESCAPED DEATH TO GAIN FAME
A Merino sheep called Shrek had its claim to fame after fleeing enclosure and successfully staying hidden in caves for almost six years. This was unheard of ever before and once captured the sheep looked nothing like it previously used to. Shrek had transformed into a mystical being. Merino sheep are not just used for food, but they also grow fleece. The time Shrek stayed hidden he grew wool weighing 27 kg. This could make suits for as many as 20 well-built men. He was featured in children’s books after discovery and even he made charity appearances and underwent live shearing’s several times.
