Let's see some amazing images of Rose Garden Chandigarh, the Asia's biggest rose garden. The garden is spread over an area of 27 acres and has hundreds of varieties of roses. The place is decorated with a splash of greenery and charm of roses. In the season of flowers i.e. in February and March the garden and it's surroundings are dressed like a bride and add to the grace of city.
Along with roses, there are many species of trees of medicinal value and some rare species of trees and shrubs. The actual name of the garden is Zakir Rose Garden, named after former president of India Dr. Zakir Hussain. It was established in 1967 under the guidance of then Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh Dr. Mohinder Singh Randawa.

Location of Rose Garden

Rose garden is located in Sector 16-B of Chandigarh. Its main entrance in on the Madya Marg, the road dividing Sector 16 and Sector 10. From the Sector 17 bus stand, the distance is around 1 KM. From Sector 43 bus stand, you can get a local bus that will charge Rs. 10 per passenger or you can hire an auto rickshaw for less than Rs. 100.
